The Date: Saturday night.

The Destination: The Andy Warhol Museum, North Side.

The Shindig: The Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN)’s Pittsburgh Youth Pride Prom so young people can celebrate in a fun and safe environment.

The People: Nearly 200 young adults came between the ages of 13 and 20 to dance, play games, watch film shorts, make silk screen T-shirts and enjoy a formal dinner from 6 to 10 p.m. GLSEN’s Pittsburgh Chapter is 14 years old, while the national chapter is 25. There are nearly 40 chapters across the country.
