The Fund for Advancement of Minorities through Education (FAME) held its 16th Annual Luncheon at The Duquesne Club on April 24. The luncheon celebrated the 19th Anniversary of the minority scholarship program and honored the 69 FAME scholars and 12 graduating seniors currently attending the six participating independent schools. FAME seeks to encourage its graduates to return to Pittsburgh after college graduation and help diversify the area’s businesses and professions. Ninety-two scholars have graduated from the FAME program; all have gone on to college.
