When: Wednesday.

Where: A private residence in Sewickley Heights, hosted by the Kronk family.

The cause: NHS serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

In her own words: An excerpt of a poem by NHS consumer Liz Humphrey, 24.

"I Can't Be Put Down"

It's not about your disability; it's about your ability.

It's not about what you can't do; it's about what you can do.

You might think something is hard, when it's actually very easy.

Some say you can't do that, it's too hard for you.

Don't let people tell you that, they're just putting you down.

But you can bring yourself up, by showing them you can.

You can do anything you put your mind to; but you have to believe in yourself.

And when someone says you can't; say yes I can.

Seen: Former State Sen. M. Joseph Rocks, John Frisch, Tom and Ann Burkholder, Jerry Mauro, Anthony and Jan Tomasello, Anthony and Linda Lacenere.
