It was a memorable night when guests gathered for Cocktails & Conservation on March 7 at St. Nicholas Croatian Catholic Church in Millvale to celebrate and build support for the ongoing efforts to preserve its murals by Maxo Vanka. The inaugural event, organized by the Society to Preserve the Millvale Murals of Maxo Vanka, surpassed its goal to raise the funds needed to fully restore one mural.
A lively crowd of nearly 200 stayed late into the evening enjoying the custom cocktails of LUPEC (Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails), beer tasting by Vecenie Distributing Co. and a performance by Keystone Adult Tamburitzans. For more Information go to www.vankamurals.org.
