SEEN coverage will be directed by society editor Natalie Bencivenga.
Starting the first week of March, SEEN and Style coverage will appear in the Post-Gazette Magazine on Mondays.
Our new schedule kicks off on Oscar Monday, when the Post-Gazette will provide complete coverage of the 86th annual Academy Awards, including a fashion review of what celebrities are wearing, a critique of the show and list of winners.
The SEEN coverage directed by society editor Natalie Bencivenga will include Pittsburgh's own Oscar party "Lights! Glamour! Action! 2014," which supports the mission of the Pittsburgh Film Office, a nonprofit agency that markets southwestern Pennsylvania to the film industry. Presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield at Heinz Field, the party will have its own red carpet entrance, champagne reception, fashion presentations and live telecast of the 2014 Oscars on the big screen. This is the 14th year of the event that last year drew 900 patrons.
Moving SEEN to Monday will enhance timely publication of the previous weekend events and is part of a broadening of society coverage through social media to further engage readers. Patricia Sheridan's Breakfast With interviews will continue to appear on Mondays, and will be packaged with fashion, travel and interior design coverage. Fashion writer Sara Bauknecht's Stylebook also will run on Mondays.
The Post-Gazette will highlight weekly consumer health and fitness coverage in Tuesday Magazine.
