More than 200 guests gathered at the Westin Convention Center Wednesday evening for the 22nd annual Racial Justice Awards dinner presented by the YWCA’s Center for Race & Gender Equity. A cocktail reception gave guests the chance to mingle with individual honorees including Janera Solomon, Melanie Brown, Alexis Payne and honorary chair Robert Hill. Organizations honored were Education Law Center, East Liberty Presbyterian Church and the Pennsylvania Interbranch Commission for Gender, Racial and Ethnic Fairness. Applauding were YWCA board president Marsha Jones, County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, YWCA CEO Magdeline Jensen and Dina Clark, director of the Center for Race & Gender Equity.
