Thirteen young women of Polish descent were presented at the 21st annual Bal Polonaise held Saturday at Circuit Center on the South Side. The theme was “Through the Eyes of a Peacock,” a nod to the popularity of peacock plumes in Polish history and the symbolism of peacocks within the Catholic Church. The evening included dinner by The Fluted Mushroom and dancing to the John Gora Orchestra after the presentation and the traditional Grand Polonaise. Evanne Addams and Marie Fallon chaired the ball sponsored by the Polish Cultural Council.
