As always no laugh track was necessary for the annual "Candidates Comedy Night" at Pittsburgh Improv in Homestead. The sold-out event presented by the Allegheny County Department of Human Services included the comedy stylings of county Executive Rich Fitzgerald, mayoral candidates Bill Peduto and Josh Wander, Judges Max Baer and Jack McVay, and a guy who really knows how to deliver a punch line, Republican Party chairman Jim Roddey, among others. The 400 guests helped to raise nearly $40,000 for the Music Festival Fund. Since its inception, the fund has provided nearly 2,600 children with meaningful items or opportunities that cannot be provided through traditional government funding.
