The brakes were off for the BikeFest 2013 kickoff at the Pittsburgh Opera building in the Strip District on Friday night. More than 75 percent of the 600 guests rode their bikes to the party to benefit Bike Pgh. The event, which featured a silent auction, a spin-the-bike-wheel raffle and a spread for VIPs by Salt of the Earth chef Kevin Sousa -- Chef Sousa is into pedal power -- also included live music by the band Molly Alphabet. The popular BikeFest photo booth was back for those who like to ham it up. Having a wheelie good time were executive director Scott Bricker and his fiancee, Lena Andrews, board president Mac Howison, Richard Parsakian, Matt Hannigan, Bill Peduto, county executive Rich Fitzgerald, Mark Broadhurst, Maury Burgwin, James Isler, Kim O'Dell, Julie Burcher Pezzino and Andrew Butcher.
