Children's Museum of Pittsburgh has slightly increased its admission and parking fees for its new fiscal year, which started July 1.
Admission for adults rose by $1 from $13 to $14 and from $12 to $13 for children ages 2 to 18 and seniors. Children under 2 are free.
"We have not raised admission prices in two years, and over two years the costs of doing business have increased," said Bill Schlageter, director of marketing for the North Side museum. "We felt it was appropriate to increase our admission prices by $1."
The costs of parking had not been increased for 10 years, he said. Parking for museum members went from $3 to $4, while cars parked by nonmembers will be charged $6, up from $5.
Annual membership fees have not changed.
