Anna Ruth Holt of the Hill District, the youngest of 13 children, will celebrate her 100th birthday Saturday.

She was born May 3, 1914, in Rappahannock County, Va., to Francis and Minor Robinson. She had six brothers and six sisters.

In 1932, she married Billy Holt and they had four children: Dolores Tillman, Milton Holt and Julia Bailey, all deceased, and Mary White of Wilkinsburg.

Mrs. Holt worked for 30 years as a technician for the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, retiring in 1984. Her husband died in 1982 after 50 years of marriage.

Mrs. Holt, a longtime member of the Church of God in Christ on Centre Avenue, credits her longevity to her strong faith and love for God.

She has 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
