Pittsburgh-area housing options for those with disabilities to be discussed

Local housing options available to people with disabilities will be presented at a public session Tuesday at Rodef Shalom, 4905 Fifth Ave., Oakland.

The free event, sponsored by AIM, a collaboration of Jewish Family & Children's Service and Jewish Residential Services, will be held 6 to 8 p.m. at the JRS offices at Rodef Shalom.

Among the topics discussed will be plans for disability housing in Squirrel Hill; the Heidelberg Apartment project, which aims to cohabitate autism spectrum adults and typical adults; information about how to arrange residential services for a family member with special needs; and ACHIEVA's "A Home of My Own" program.
