2 flower show tours heading to London in 2014

Two local travel agencies are offering seven-day tours that include the Chelsea Flower Show and walking tours of London and surrounding gardens.

On May 17-24, Collette Travel (www.collettevacations.com) offers members-only access on the opening day of the flower show and side trips to Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens, Windsor Castle and Wisley Gardens. Guests stay at the Kensington Close Hotel & Spa in London. Cost is $3,999 double occupancy, $5,099 single. On May 19-26, Atlas Travel Service's trip begins in the Cotswolds with a visit to Highgrove, the Prince of Wales' private garden, and includes Blenheim Palace, Hidcote Manor, Chenies Manor, Hatfield House, Wisley Gardens and an all-day visit to the flower show May 23. Guests stay at the Hare & Hounds in Tetbury and the Millennium Gloucester in London. An optional extension to Paris is available. Cost is $4,330 double occupancy, $5,125 single. To buy individual tickets: The Royal Horticultural Society (www.rhs.org.uk) sponsors the Chelsea Flower Show, set for May 20-24, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. The first two days are for society members only.
