Don't forget that four-legged family member this holiday season. Pets are easy and fun to shop for and there's lots to choose from.

• Brighten the life of a pet waiting for a home at one of the area's animal shelters. The Animal Rescue League Shelter and Wildlife Center, Western Pennsylvania Humane Society and Animal Friends all have gift shops with pet supplies and toys, with proceeds going to help the shelters' animals. The Animal Rescue League and the Humane Society offer a comfortable Kuranda raised bed for a dog, $103, or two cat beds for $59.
