PG Backyard Gardener plant swap

PG garden columnist Doug Oster will hold the 11th annual Post-Gazette Backyard Gardener plant swap and give-a-way from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday in North Park across from the skating rink on Pearce Mill Road.

If swapping, please have all plants labeled and don't bring anything invasive. Mr. Oster will be giving away 'Limbaugh Legacy Potato Top' tomato plants, one per family, while they last. Gardeners are asked to grow them, save the seeds and send them back at the end of the season to keep the project going.

Mr. Oster will also give away other plants courtesy of Mindy Schwartz of Garden Dreams Urban Farm & Nursery in Wilkinsburg. Get there early if you want plants; they go fast. Information: www.post-gazette.com/gardeningwithdoug.

A light brunch and mimosas will be served, and home-baked goods will be sold at the school.
