The rehabbed Pennsylvania Building has rescued key vendors from the now closed Pittsburgh Public Market and it’s about to host more.
PGH Crepes is not just a food truck. It’s a $7 meal with a bit of performance art thrown in. Photos on the bright yellow truck show sweet and savory crepes ranging from strawberry to turkey, and they serve smoothies, coffee and other beverages, too.
I ordered the Nutella banana crepe and was surprised to see the man who took my order carefully chopping the banana. He was polite, friendly, and enjoyable to talk to, and in a few short minutes, he served an amazing crepe.
It was right combination of hard and soft, with a taste somewhere between a pancake and an ice cream cone. The Nutella and banana complemented each other perfectly. It was a creamy and delicious snack that I’d definitely try again.
