Food truck review: Miss Meatball

What’s special about Miss Meatball ain’t the beef meatballs. Sure, they’re juicy and tender, but the sturdy bread is the real breadwinner in this sandwich. It doesn’t fall apart or get soggy.

The shredded parmesan cheese is a nice touch, too. You get plenty of it, spread across the length of the 6- to 8-inch sandwich. The classic costs $7.50. Tack on a side of ginger scallion noodles and a bottle of water and it’s around $12 per person.

The big red truck also offers chicken meatballs and hot sausage with onions, peppers and tomatoes. The Sriracha Teriyaki sandwich is chicken balls with scallion and sesame. You can also get chicken meatballs with creamy asiago béchamel or spicy Buffalo sauce and homemade blue cheese dressing. Dig in!
