It's summertime, when pickin' a food event to go to isn't easy

There's a lot going on in food this summer, including these upcoming festivals and dinners:

St. Agnes Parish Bazaar: Homemade ethnic food, live entertainment, raffles, baked goods, games, children's activities. 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday at St. Agnes Church in North Huntingdon. Information: 724-863-2626.

Washington Wine, Jazz & Pops Festival: Wine tastings, food vendors, live music. Saturday at the North Strabane Municipal Park in Canonsburg. $20 in advance for both days; $25 at the gate for both days. Proceeds benefit Mental Health Association of Washington County. Information: mhawashco.org/wjp.

Soergel Orchards Corn Roast: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Soergel Orchards in Franklin Park. Five percent of the proceeds benefit Pine-Richland schools. Future corn roasts benefit North Hills schools Aug. 10, Shaler Aug. 17, North Allegheny Aug. 24, Avonworth Aug. 31, Quaker Valley Sept. 7 and North Hills Catholic schools Sept. 14. Rib Fest: Rib and chicken meals and fun, 4:30 to 7 p.m. next Thursday at Crafton Park. Information: craftoningramrotary.org.

Conover Organic Farm Dinner: 5 p.m. Saturday at Conover Organic Farm in Burgettstown. $100; ages 21 and up only. Information: farmerstable.org.
