For brides (and bridesmaids) to be, there are some chances on tap this week to help bridal parties look their best for the big day.
Bella Bridesmaids at 1752 N. Highland Road, Bethel Park, will hold a Jenny Yoo trunk show by appointment 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The designer is one of the shop’s most popular and is known for the use of a variety of soft fabrics and colors. Any orders placed during the event will be marked 10 percent off. For the bride who is environmentally focused, Glitter & Grit bridal boutique at 5300 Butler St., Lawrenceville, will hold a Deborah Lindquist trunk show by appointment Friday through Sunday. Pittsburgh Fashion Week model search: Male (who wear medium or large sizes) and female (sizes 2-8) models who are at least 16 years old are invited to attend a casting call at 11 a.m. Saturday on the fourth floor of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Downtown. Men should come cleanly shaven, and women are asked to wear their hair pulled back and be without makeup. Some runway experience is required, and composite cards and resumes are welcome but not necessary.
