More than 250 guests turned out Saturday to support Gwen's Girls at the Masked Ball fashion show at CAVO in the Strip District.
Designers with ties to the region churned out drama-packed couture looks for the catwalk. They included Lybbie Lewis, Jena-Anne Sabom, Elaine Healy, John Gurman, Richard Bryan, Zoe Collins, Tori Mistick, Keith Bloom II, Erica Ersik, Alex Beitler, Brett James, Nina VanSuch and Holly Thomas. The benefit was produced by Pittsburgh fashion scene veterans Tara Rieland and Mr. James, who worked on other masquerade-themed runway show fundraisers organized from 2006 to 2009.
Those in attendance were invited to take part in the theme by dressing up or donning a masquerade mask.

People are invited to stop in, try on and rent apparel and accessories that will be featured in the space on a rotating basis. Or they can book an appointment online and create a profile that includes information about size and personal style that can be used during their visit. Selections tried on in the showroom also can be scanned and added to a client's "virtual closet" in case she wants to find and rent them later.
