NEW YORK CITY -- A rainbow of furs from Kiev-born fashion designer Helen Yarmak dressed mannequins -- and models who posed as mannequins before surprising people by coming to life.

Long and short-length coats in rich colors were styled for the New York Fashion Week presentation by "Sex and the City" stylist Patricia Field, who stood out among the media and guests with her fiery red hair and one arm cradled in a makeshift sling made from a patterned scarf.

The gathering was intimate but attracted big names, such as singer Rod Stewart. And with a penthouse that offered stunning views of Central Park, there was much more than fashions to take in.
