Papa John’s Pizza on Library Road in Bethel Park was ordered closed Tuesday by the Allegheny County Health Department for failing to ensure a safe water supply during the boil water advisory.
Papa John’s was operating during the advisory without obtaining potable water for food preparation, hand washing and dish washing, according to an inspection report.
Pennsylvania American Water issued a boil water warning Monday evening for about 100,000 customers in southern Allegheny and Washington counties.The advisory was lifted Wednesday shortly after noon.
Papa John’s has since reopened.
