“Young” jackfruit is mostly used as a filling in tacos but also makes its way as a topping on nachos and inside a sandwich.
Jade Grille opened this past Monday for lunch and dinner at 670 Washington Road in Mt. Lebanon. The pan-Asian menu includes small plates, including Handmade Steamed Dumplings, as well as soups and entrees featuring hand-pulled noodles. There's also an assortment of "open flame skewers," soups, sushi and wok dishes, plus a full 40-foot bar in the space that formerly was Union National Bank (you can sit in the former vault or at the chef's table/sushi bar in the open kitchen). The website -- jadegrille.com -- still is a work in progress; the phone is 412-531-6666.
