I am against the Affordable Care Act because one thing this country doesn't need is another government-controlled program. How are they going to administer this program when all the other ones they have control over are rife with mismanagement and fraud -- Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, to name a few?
It seems to me that this is just another waste of my tax money and another step in the direction of government dependency in lieu of promoting self-responsibility. This law is definitely not "health care reform" nor is it an "affordable" care act.
As for the argument against entitlements, who has greater "entitlements" than the politicians in this country? They have much better health insurance, pensions, etc., than any of the working people in this country. And the best part about it is that they are the only ones I know of who constantly get raises and benefits even though they only work a fraction of the time that most of us do.
Solution? I really don't know what it is at this point. One thing is apparent -- this government is totally broken and corrupt from the president on down.
