Regarding the Oct. 3 article "Terminal in Strip Gains Support": If you want people to frequent Downtown areas, the draw is an alternative to the proliferation of generic stores and malls which can be more readily accessed in suburban areas. Unique historic settings, such as Georgetown in the District of Columbia, have proved successful.
Unfortunately, as it was the fashion several decades ago to "modernize," we have lost some Downtown treasures. We have an opportunity to prevent the erosion of the popularity of the Strip District as a go-to destination.
