Can we please keep what's going on in Washington, D.C., simple?
1) When do the American people ever put Congress above the president of the United States when it comes to major policy decisions? Answer: Never. Americans elect their president, and they follow his lead, even when horrendous decisions and statements are made (i.e., "We know they have weapons of mass destruction").
2) Are American people, as a majority, that stupid as to believe that if we do not raise the debt limit immediately that it is the fault of the president and Democrats? Really?
3) Do Republicans honestly believe that if they adhere to the principles and policies of Republicans of today that they're not simply bowing down to the wishes and demands of the top 1 percent of this country? Really?
Come on, people. Wake up. Quit listening to Rush and pundits. Listen to your own conscience for a change.
