Regarding "Penguins Choose Developer for Site of Former Civic Arena" (Sept. 18): The development team could have chosen a more realistic "conceptual" view. The view published is looking east from town and shows a parklet, complete with trees and water features, all magically suspended above Interstate 579 below. This same sleight of hand was used when the proponents of Civic Arena demolition made the case that they could somehow knit the street grid back together and bridge the chasm between Downtown and the arena site.
I find it irritating that they continue to show us something that could never get funded and is technically infeasible.
