The red line

Doesn't red mean stop? Isn't the color red symbolic of blood, fire and sunsets? And, after all, doesn't a line have two sides? While on one side is Syria's imputed -- even if proven -- use of chemical weapons, on the other side is the United States' apparent preparation to cross the line, to be drawn into further conflict.

That red line divides us both, limiting us also in what is against international "norms" -- not laws. It could keep us also from doing what is inhumane and wrong. Quite simply, these two wrongs do not make a right.

Stop, before it is too late. Look at the consequences of a U.S. intervention in the Syrian civil war. Listen to the American people who say, "No more war!"
