Three cheers for letter writer Roseann Finnerty ("Congress as a Career," Aug. 26)!
Add term limits to her comments and you have a sound basis for recommended changes to an unfair and outlandish system of rewards and perks controlled in most part by those who gain by it.
To think for a moment that our representatives (federal and state) will hear this message is probably unrealistic. Perhaps we need to think and act on a more radical level.
For starters, imagine the PG taking the lead by reprinting Roseann Finnerty's letter on the front page, and keeping it there until reasonable action becomes a reality. If the PG did this, oh, how the politicians would hear the message. Bet on it!
I must admit that this moderate has never considered voting all incumbents out. Guess what? It just might be the only other way of getting our message through, or at least ending the careers of many politicians. Got any better idea?
