Try to take in the whole empirical and sociological import of this vignette.
I'm driving my wife to the park-n-ride in Moon on Thursday at 7:45 a.m. We approach the intersection of Brodhead Road and University Boulevard in heavy traffic. We see a boy who looked to be about 11, but could've been younger, peddling his bicycle on the shoulder of the road. He's wearing no helmet.
And he's not looking at the road, either. He's looking down as he pedals. Know why? He's texting!
