A host of horrors ultimately led to Mohammed Morsi's ouster from office by the Egyptian military. A horrendous economy, lack of jobs, desperate Egyptian youth, rejection by the global financial markets -- the list goes on.
However, the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back" was the creeping Islamization of society at the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood, which controlled the levers of government and embedded Islamic proscriptions into the nation's Constitution.
This should be a lesson for all Americans and a stern warning to the religious right and the politicians who carry their banner.
