My compliments on your June 15 editorial on the Syrian blunder ("Syria Misstep: Obama Is Wrong to Provide Arms to the Rebels"). It is pleasing to see that someone in the media would finally point out the ongoing intrusions by Sen. John McCain, who has not been able to deal with the fact that "hero worship" failed to make him president. How fortunate the country is on that count, but that has not stopped him from his continuing meddling, because no one has been willing to confront him and tell him to be a grown-up. He, like most Republicans over the years, chooses to be influenced by the military-industrial complex.
We do not need another "front" to deal with other nations' disputes, nor do we need to be arming our enemies or potentially sending more of our young men and women to death or disablement for someone else's gain.
