The Koch brothers epitomize what is wrong with American politics ("Koch Brothers Planning More Political Involvement," May 5). Buy the elections, push special interests and win. Case in point: background checks defeated, even when more than 90 percent of Americans support the measure. Money talks and logic walks.
These wealthy "king makers" have only their own best interests at heart. Sometimes, however, money can't overcome the weak candidates they support and they lose, but not often enough.
