I am writing this letter in response to the recent letters written for and against Pittsburgh City Councilwoman Natalia Rudiak. I am a resident of Council District 4, having lived in the Brookline community for over 40 years. I can tell you that the road conditions in Brookline are horrible; I don't ever remember them being as bad as they have been in recent years. I did some research and found that in the last four years, there have only been five streets paved in Brookline. This is totally unacceptable!
I can only attribute this to Natalia Rudiak's inability to work with all parts of city government that she needs to work with to get things done. Sure, Brookline Boulevard is being redone, but I feel this has more to do with the work of her predecessors than Ms. Rudiak. I personally know her Democratic primary opponent Johnny Lee and feel that he will be able to do more for our district because of his ability to bridge gaps and work with everyone.
While I don't think Johnny will be a rubber stamp for anyone, I feel that he will be willing to work with any of the candidates who end up as our mayor. Johnny's main goal is to do what is best for District 4 and the city of Pittsburgh. Johnny is a people person, he knows how and when to compromise and will be a great asset on city council and to the entire city of Pittsburgh. He will fight to keep our neighborhoods safe and our schools safe. Johnny Lee is the candidate for District 4.
