This is in response to the April 5 letter from Jim Sciulli of Forest Hills ("Inconsistent Casey"):
I would like to remind Mr. Sciulli that Sen. Bob Casey represents the people. We have elected him to speak for us. So if Sen. Casey has shifted his position on gay marriage, he is doing so because he is speaking for the people of the "pitiful state" of Pennsylvania.
If the people of Pennsylvania have sent a plethora of letters, phone calls and emails supporting gay marriage, Sen. Casey did the right thing by shifting his position to represent the people who have elected him. And, Mr. Sciulli, if you feel Pennsylvania is such a "pitiful state," I suggest you move.
