Cut Congress' pay

Many of our congressional elected officials are screaming that entitlements -- Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid -- need to be cut, reformed and even eliminated.

Well, let's discuss "real entitlement" -- their salaries and pensions. The salary of House Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio is $223,500 and that of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor of Virginia is $193,400 per year. I doubt even a dime is deducted of these nice paychecks for health and all of this for 126 days of "work" this calendar year.

Millions of Americans spent their very precious vote on you, Democrats and Republicans, and what are you doing? Certainly not working for us and the good of this country. You are thumbing your nose at us and saying that we no longer matter to you, until the next election.

You are insulting our intelligence, our patriotism and a value we have for our vote. It's been said you are acting like spoiled kids. Nah, spoiled kids don't act this bad.

If you're not going to work 40 hours a week, getting important issues handled and settled for us, the voters, then during the sequester, stop collecting a paycheck.
