Sometimes I question the intelligence of our business community. They argue that they cannot hire staff because the demand for their product is down and they need to have higher profits to satisfy the investors.
My question is, "How can anyone buy your products if they have no job?" Henry Ford knew that in order to sell his cars he had to have customers who could afford to buy them! He hired workers and paid them a fair wage -- they bought Fords!
Businesses have an unfathomable bent to the "market" at the expense of the employees. Who makes the products sold? What are your sales if you have no product or cannot meet the demand? What are your profits without sales? Where would your company be without your employees?
Take care of your employees; sales and profits will grow and investors will come! Think about it.
