Ronald J. Brown, shareholder, Grogan Graffam, P.C. was appointed to serve as a board member of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority. Mr. Brown chairs the firm's business transactions practice group, focusing his practice in municipal law and finance, including governmental bond issues and economic development project finance. Mr. Brown received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. The authority was established in 1987 by the Economic Development Financing Law to provide access to low-interest financing to businesses in Pennsylvania.
Meyer, Unkovic & Scott announced that Matthew R. Lasek has joined as an associate attorney in the firm's construction law and litigation group and the corporate and business law group. In his previous position, Mr. Lasek handled an array of real estate, construction, and other commercial matters. He also clerked at the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
Mr. Lasek received his J.D. at the University of Colorado Law School, during which time he served as Casenote & Comment Editor of the University of Colorado Law Review, vice president of the Construction and Real Estate Law Association, and as a teaching and research assistant.
Rebecca L. Hagan, an estates and trusts attorney at Fox Rothschild, was elected to the American Cancer Society's board of directors. She also is a member of St. Lucy's Auxiliary to the Blind in Pittsburgh, and a coach for Strong Women, Strong Girls, a mentoring program dedicated to raising the aspirations and self-esteem of elementary school girls.

Allegheny County Bar Association's Construction Law Section. In addition, Jim Malloy, an associate attorney with DFL Legal, was elected to a three-year term on the Construction Law Section's Council.
