Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP said Robert J. Cindrich joined the firm's business services department in the Pittsburgh office. Mr. Cindrich opened his own health care consulting company, Cindrich Consulting, in 2010 after serving as senior adviser to the president, senior vice president and chief legal officer of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, beginning in 2004.

Prior to joining UPMC, Mr. Cindrich served on the bench of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania beginning in 1994. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

The Pittsburgh Legal Administrators Association Board of Directors named new officers: president, Sandra Fantini of Papernick & Gefsky, LLC; president-elect, Anne Parys of Rothman Gordon, P.C.; secretary, Patti Monahan of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP; secretary-elect, Patty Haeck of Cipriani & Werner, P.C.; treasurer, Lois Diana of Dell Moser Lane & Loughney, LLC, and treasurer-elect, Kathleen Tomina of Meyer Darragh Buckler Bebenek & Eck.

Cohen & Grigsby, along with First National Insurance Agency and Grossman Yanak and Ford LLP, will present a seminar on cybersecurity from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at PNC Park's Hall of Fame Club. The "Cybersecurity Awareness and Prevention Seminar" is part of the Subway Series, an initiative launched by the organizations last fall that includes business workshops and features speakers from each company.

The seminar includes a presentation from David J. Hickton, United States Attorney, Western District of Pennsylvania; and Anne Winner, assistant vice president, senior E&O underwriting specialist, Chubb Specialty Insurance. James Chiafullo, a partner at Cohen & Grigsby and head of the firm's Commercial Finance Practice Group will serve as moderator for the event.

In recognition of its work fighting fraud committed against seniors, Pepper Hamilton LLP was presented with the 2013 Partner of the Year Award by SeniorLAW Center at an awards gala in Philadelphia last week. The gala benefits the nonprofit SeniorLAW Center, and its work to protect the rights of Pennsylvania's seniors. Pepper Hamilton was honored for fighting unscrupulous contractors who defraud low-income seniors.
