Margaret P. Joy, a partner in family law firm McCarthy McDonald Schulberg & Joy, was named as the "Woman of Distinction" in the field of law by the Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania. Ms. Joy was honored for her longtime work with the community, particularly in promoting leadership, health care research, and educational opportunities for women and girls.

Paul J. Gitnik of Keevican Weiss Bauerle & Hirsch LLC has appointed to serve as a member of the Parish Pastoral Council at St. Mary of the Mount, in Mount Washington. Mr. Gitnik's practice includes business, estates and trusts, health care, municipal, nonprofit, oil-gas, real estate and tax laws. He graduated from the Duquesne University School of Law, and he earned an advanced law degree in taxation from Georgetown University.

Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. has opened its first office in Cleveland, Ohio, its third office in the state. This is the firm's 11th office across six states.

In addition, Gene L. Jazwinski has joined the Pittsburgh office as a principal and concentrates in the area of mineral law (oil & gas), with a particular emphasis in real estate.
