Dickie McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. announced that Effie G. Alexander and John N. Demas have joined the firm as principals. Ms. Alexander and Mr. Demas bring a combined 35 years' experience in domestic relations and family law. Prior to joining the firm, they were partners in the law firm Reich, Alexander & Demas.

Ms. Alexander and Mr. Demas are trained in collaborative law and mediation. Their services include: child support, custody, divorce, equitable distribution, spousal support and alimony, and protection from abuse. Ms. Alexander is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of law and Mr. Demas graduated from Duquesne University Law School.

Frank, Gale, Bails, Murcko & Pocrass, P.C. has announced that founding partner Frederick N. Frank and partner Christine Gale have been named to the 2012 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer list. This is Mr. Frank's 16th consecutive year to be named on the list and Ms. Gale's fifth consecutive year.

John P. Gismondi, of Gismondi and Associates was elected president of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. Mr. Gismondi specializes in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation.

George Farneth II, a shareholder at Zimmer Kunz, was appointed to serve as Mount Oliver's representative on the seven-member Pittsburgh School District Reapportionment Commission, which is charged with redrawing the school board boundaries of the Pittsburgh Board of Public Education. Mr. Farneth concentrates his practice in civil litigation with concentrations in commercial litigation, construction litigation, personal injury, products liability and domestic relations.

The following attorneys from Houston Harbaugh, PC, were selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2013:

John D. Houston, II, founding member, concentrates in the areas of health care, estate planning and wealth preservation, and received his law degree from George Washington University; Mary-Jo Rebelo, director and member of its executive committee, concentrates her practice in commercial litigation and employment law and received her law degree from Duquesne University School of Law; Deborah J. Robinson, is a director and leader of the Health Care Law department, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law; Anna Bamonte Torrance, a member of the Health Care Law department, concentrates her practice in the area of health law and litigation and also received her law degree from Pitt; James H. Webster, a director and leader of the Real Estate & Finance department, concentrates his practice in public finance, municipal authority financing and industrial development revenue bonds, and received his law degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law.

All five partners of Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC were recently selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2013 edition. David S. Pollock, Todd M. Begg, Candice L. Komar, Daniel H. Glasser and Brian C. Vertz were recognized among the top practitioners of family law. This is the fourth year in a row all five partners have been included in the publication.

Mr. Pollock has been named to Best Lawyers for more than 15 years. This is Mr. Begg's seventh year and Ms. Komar's sixth year on the list, while Mr. Glasser and Mr. Vertz have been named to the list four years running.

The following Dickie McCamey attorneys were named Best Lawyer's "Lawyer of the Year 2013" -- George P. Kachulis, medical malpractice law (defendants); Robert J. Marino, insurance law, and Anthony J. Rash, product liability litigation (defendants).

Mr. Kachulis is a shareholder and director and serves as an elected member of the firm's executive committee. He graduated with his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Mr. Marino is a shareholder and director and concentrates his practice in the areas of professional malpractice, premises liability, legal malpractice, and product liability law. He graduated from the Duquesne University School of Law. Mr. Rash is a shareholder and director, and a senior member of the firm's product liability and transportation practice groups. He received his J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University.
