Lee van Egmond has joined Rothman Gordon as a partner in the corporate and business department. She previously practiced for 10 years with Reed Smith. At Rothman Gordon, Ms. van Egmond will continue to advise clients on corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for both publicly and privately held corporations, joint ventures, strategic transactions and project development. Ms. van Egmond completed her J.D. at the West Virginia University College of Law, where she was executive editor for Articles for the West Virginia Law Review.
Thomas T. Frampton of Goehring, Rutter & Boehm has been named to the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals is an association of arbitration and mediation professionals distinguished by their experience in the field of civil and commercial conflict resolution. Mr. Frampton maintains an active trial practice, and in the last 15 years has served as a mediator and arbitrator providing services to attorneys in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania. His alternative dispute resolution practice focuses on commercial and business disputes, medical malpractice and other professional negligence, products liability, employment issues and personal injury.
Bruce F. Rudoy, shareholder at Babst Calland, was reappointed by American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources, to chair the section's Oil and Gas Committee.
Leech Tishman said that partner Sally Griffith Cimini was selected to become a member of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution Panel of Distinguished Neutrals, where she will serve as a mediator for CPR's Employment Panel. Ms. Cimini is a member of Leech Tishman's management committee and chairs the firm's alternative dispute resolution and employment practice groups. She regularly advises employers in all aspects of the employment relationship, from hiring through termination, and routinely represents employers in employment discrimination litigation before the federal and state courts as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other commissions. She also represents employers in all aspects of labor relations, including grievances, arbitration and National Labor Relations Board proceedings.
Keevican Weiss Bauerle & Hirsch said Marvin Lieber and Penina Kessler Lieber have been selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2013. Mr. Lieber is known for his career as an adviser to publicly traded and privately owned companies, financial institutions, as well as health and education charities. He has been particularly active recently counseling regional banking enterprises concerning the Dodd Frank Act and other regulatory matters.
