Leech Tishman said Jason R. Lawrence joined the firm's litigation practice group. Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP said George McGrann was appointed managing partner of the Pittsburgh office, while former managing partner Jeff Letwin will concentrate his efforts in his role as co-chair of the business services department firm-wide.
Mr. McGrann has more than three decades of experience as a trial lawyer in many areas, including commercial, antitrust and environmental litigation. Mr. Letwin, after nine years as managing partner of the firm's Pittsburgh office, will continue his work as a co-chair of the Business Services Department and, in that role, will focus on lateral recruitment to build the department in all of its locations nationwide.

Penina Kessler Lieber was appointed chair of the American Bar Association Commission on Interest on Lawyers' Trust Accounts. Ms. Lieber, the first representative of Pennsylvania to serve as chair of the commission, is a nationally recognized expert in the law governing nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations. A University of Pittsburgh graduate, she was a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Harvard University, a member of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review, and clerked for the 3rd Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.
Six attorneys at Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. have been named Pennsylvania Rising Stars for 2012 by Philadelphia magazine and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers magazine. They are: Eric S. Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC elected shareholder Matthew F. Burger to a three-year term on its board. For almost 20 years, Mr. Burger has represented national coal producers, contract miners, natural gas companies and energy companies in litigation and corporate matters throughout the country.
