Erie tributaries (Erie County): With good flow and snow showers predicted, steelhead fishing was generally good from the upper reaches of Twentymile Creek to the smaller creeks east of the peninsula.
Upper Gravel Pit (Erie County): The state Fish and Boat Commission will stock rainbow trout Feb. 4.
West Basin Pond (Erie County): The state will stock brown trout Feb. 4.
Lake Pleasant (Erie County): The state will stock rainbow trout Feb. 4, following a stocking in December.
French Creek (Crawford County): With no ice cover, anglers caught walleyes near Meadville and Cambridge Springs.
Allegheny River (Forest County): Walleyes and muskies were caught from shore and boat near Tionesta. The state Fish and Boat Commission requires all anglers fishing at the Tionesta Outflow to display trout-salmon permits March 1 through midnight May 31.
Chapman Lake (Warren County): The state stocked brook trout Jan. 15.
Harbor Acres Lake (Butler County): Located in State Game Land 95, the lake is among those that have been dropped from the Early Season Trout-Stocked waters and redesignated as Approved Trout Waters Open to Year-Round Fishing. Check 2013 Pennsylvania Fishing Summary for the new regulations.
Beaver River (Beaver County): With no ice on the lakes, anglers targeted the river some success.
Ohio River (Beaver County): Nice walleyes were taken below the Montgomery and Dashields dams on live baits and chartreuse and white Mr. Twister tails.
North Park Lake (Allegheny County): A Feb. 13 stocking of rainbow trout is planned by the state Fish and Boat Commission.
High Point Lake (Somerset County): Fish and Boat reports that Mick Bernat of Johnstown pulled a 21-inch walleye through the ice Jan. 11.
Quemahoning reservoir, creek (Somerset County): With ice fishing prohibited at the impoundment, anglers took northern pike near Green Bridge, and one walleye in the creek.
Laurel Hill Lake (Somerset County): Trout were active in shallow waters. A state stocking of rainbows is planned for Feb. 6.
Youghioghney River (Somerset County): Fish and Boat has scheduled a stocking of rainbow trout on Feb. 6.
