Two Wild Things players in Frontier All-Star Game

Second baseman C.J. Beatty and outfielder/infielder Stewart Ijames will represent the Washington Wild Things in the Frontier League All-Star Game at 7:05 p.m. July 17 at Consol Energy Park.

They will start for the Eastern Division All-Stars.

This season, Beatty carries a .299 batting average and leads the team in home runs (9) and RBIs(30).

Ijames, a utility man, leads the team in batting average (.324) and has 7 homers with 21 RBIs. It will be the first Frontier All-Star Game for Beatty and Ijames, who are in their first year of independent baseball with the Wild Things.

The votes came from the 14 league general managers, field managers, coaching staffs, broadcasters and the media.
