There is a triple play of Bellhys on the Washington & Jefferson College men's and women's basketball teams this year.
The Bellhy brothers and sisters are from Fort Cherry High School. Zach (pictured) is a senior guard who leads the men's team in scoring at 19.4 points a game.
Nate is a sophomore guard-forward who transferred from Seton Hill. He is averaging a double-double at 15.5 points and 10.2 rebounds a game. His 13 double-doubles tie him for the third-most in NCAA Division III basketball.
For the W&J women, Beka Bellhy is a freshman guard-forward who is averaging 7.0 points and 4.9 rebounds a game. Former Mt. Lebanon player Chelsea Apke leads the team in scoring with a 14.7 average.
• Emily Correal, a graduate of Peters Township, leads the William & Mary basketball team in scoring at 16.8 points a game. She also is averaging 8.4 rebounds. Correal, a 6-foot-3 senior forward, is one of two former WPIAL players on the William & Mary team. Sophomore guard Anna Kestler, a Mt. Lebanon graduate, averages 1.7 points.
• Former Latrobe High School wrestler Nathan Pennesi (141) is having a successful season at West Virginia University and is ranked in the top 20 in different polls. Pennesi, a junior, is No. 14 in the Amateur Wrestling News' rankings and No. 16 in InterMat.
