The Mountaineers schedule includes home games against Oklahoma State on Sept. 28, Texas Tech on Oct. 19, Texas on Nov. 9 and Iowa State on Nov. 29 or 30.
Road conference games include Oklahoma (Sept. 7), Baylor (Oct. 5), Kansas State (Oct. 26), TCU (Nov. 2) and Kansas (Nov. 16).
"I think the schedule provides a good mix of home and away games in each month, which will be beneficial to our team and fans," said coach Dana Holgorsen in a statement. "We all know how difficult the competition is in the Big 12. This schedule will once again be very challenging for our program."
The team will open the season at home against Division I-AA William & Mary on Aug. 31 then begin the Big 12 season Sept. 7 at Oklahoma.
The non-conference schedule includes a game against Georgia State at home Sept. 14, followed by a game against Maryland at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Sept. 21.
Open dates are Oct. 12 and Nov. 23.
The early release is intended in part for fans to make advance plans.
"I am pleased that our 2013 football schedule is ready so that our fans can have plenty of time to make plans," said athletic director Oliver Luck in a statement. "It will be our second year in the Big 12 and once again new faces will be coming to Milan Puskar Stadium while we make our first visit to some new road locations as well. As with any Big 12 schedule, challenging and exciting are two words that come to mind."
