PEOPLE

Northwood Realty Services has hired many new sales agents.

Starting at the Cranberry West office is Karla Caputo of Cranberry, who has more than a decade of sales experience, primarily marketing medical products and dental benefits.

Pat Peters and Wendell Wade Jr. have joined the McCandless office. An estimator and director of construction for more than 26 years, Peters also owns Chrisman Hill Pet Care. She's a graduate of Edinboro University, involved with Make-A-Wish Foundation, and rides and jumps show horses.

Wade returns to Pittsburgh after spending the past four years in Virginia, where he received his bachelor's degree from Norfolk State University.

Other recent hires include: Eric Hall and Tina Nagle, Upper St. Clair; Tim Thomas, Monroeville; Sue Rothcauff, Murrysville; Wendy Fox, Penn Hills; Lou Spartis, Pleasant Hills; Kevin Ignatius, Squirrel Hill; and Thomas Diehl, John Fedora, Daniel Johnson and Tawnja Timlin, Washington.

In October, Kevin Mihm of the North Hills office led all Coldwell Banker Pittsburgh sales associates in listings and sales. He had 13 sales totaling $2.9 million and seven listings worth $2.4 million.

Other top associates were Frank Obringer, Cranberry, 10 sales totaling $2.4 million and nine listings worth $1.5 million; the team of Doug and Rebecca Burig, Peters, 12 sales totaling $2.6 million and seven listings worth $962,000; the team of Bob Thompson, North Huntingdon, 12 sales totaling $1.9 million; John and Gail Urban, Airport/West Regional, five sales totaling $1.4 million and six listings worth $1.5 million; Maria Lane, Route 19/Galleria, six listings worth $1.5 million; and Sue Kelso, Route 19/Galleria, six sales totaling $1.1 million.

RE/MAX Select Realty has made several new hires.

Gene Sheidemantle and his wife Annette, previously with Coldwell Banker, have joined the Cranberry office. Gene has been licensed since 1972 and is an Air Force veteran.

Gabe Davis, previously a top sales executive with Maronda Homes, has joined the Cranberry office. Brian Donaldson, an account executive with Allegheny Settlement Co., and Joann Gennaro, who received a bachelor's degree from Indiana University, have joined the Wexford office.

Hanna Holdings Inc., the parent company of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, has announced its sales leaders for October.

The Fox Chapel office, managed by Vice President Cathy Winghart, had a collective volume of $23.1 million.

Ken Walker, Harrisburg West, led the company in sales volume with $9.9 million, followed by Lois Graham, Harrisburg West, with $3.4 million and Elaine Bodnar, North Hills, with $2.9 million. Janet Landfried was No. 1 in units sold with 18, followed by Phyllis Turner, Erie East, with 10 1/2 and Frank Maimone, Upper St. Clair, with 10.

Stephanie Veenis, Fox Chapel, led the company in listing volume with $4.8 million, followed by Bill Cloonan, Commercial, with $3.5 million and Ken Walker, Harrisburg West, with $3 million. Deborah Kane, East Suburban, was tops in listing units with 18, followed by Angel Placeres Jr., Harrisburg East, with 13 and Lon Sebring, Tionesta, with 10.

Howard Hanna Financial reported that Peter Bauer led the company in closed mortgage volume with $2.8 million, and Vicki Vento in written volume with $3.6 million.

FIRMS

Howard Hanna Real Estate Services recently honored its top sales associates, staff and management for the third quarter with a Champions Club luncheon held at the Hard Rock Cafe in Station Square.

More than 250 sales associates and mortgage loan officers were named to the Champions Club for the second quarter. To qualify, sales associates must have a sales volume of $1.2 million or 14 sales units or listing volume of $2.6 million or 14 listing units.

EVENTS

Coldwell Banker Real Estate Inc. will host free buyer and seller seminars at each of its offices in December.

The home seller seminars will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and home buyer seminars will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 10.

NEWS

CREW-Western Pennsylvania has become the 44th chapter of the Network of Commercial Real Estate Women.

The CREW Network was established in 1989 and comprises more than 5,000 commercial real estate professionals in the United States and Canada. The group's president is Kim Calabrese of Insignia Oxford.

"Pittsburgh Women in Commercial Real Estate joined the CREW Network to allow our members to tap into a full-service network that will help them do deals nationwide, respond quickly to market opportunities and give our members enhanced educational and leadership opportunities," she said.
