Justin Glock
SCHOOL: Bethel Park
WHO IS HE? A senior and one of the top hockey players in Western Pennsylvania.
RECENTLY: Glock, a 5-foot-11, 160-pound forward, tied a prestigious scoring record at the Western Pennsylvania Scholastic Showcase Tournament over the holidays. Also, he had one goal and one assist in a 5-0 victory against Seneca Valley Monday.
ABOUT THE RECORD: Glock had 19 points in nine games to tie the Scholastic Showcase record, set by Plum's R.J. Umberger in 1997. Umberger went on to play at Ohio State and was a first-round NHL draft pick last year.
SEASON: Glock is one of the leading scorers for Bethel Park, which has a 13-0 record and is the Post-Gazette's No. 1-ranked PIHL Class AAA team.
CAREER: Glock has been on Bethel Park's varsity since his freshman year. Last year, he was a member of the Post-Gazette Stellar Six and helped Bethel Park to the state Class AAA championship.
WHO KNOWS? Don't ask how many goals Glock has scored. He doesn't know, and Bethel Park Coach Jim McVay said the team doesn't keep track of such statistics.
"I'd rather our team just win, rather than worry about myself playing well or how many goals I score," Glock said.
McVay said, "He has a lot of points, but I think what makes him a great player is he's just as worried about preventing goals. His goals are team goals, not to see how many he can score."
FROM ICE TO THE MOUND: You don't see many high school hockey players in Western Pennsylvania who also are pitchers in baseball. But Glock was a pitcher for Bethel Park last season. "I've played baseball basically forever," Glock said.
After he graduates from Bethel Park in June, Glock hopes to play for either a prep school hockey team or in Junior A hockey.

Dana Stewart
SCHOOL: East Allegheny
WHO IS SHE? A 5-foot-6 junior guard for the Wildcats girls' basketball team. East Allegheny is 9-2 (4-1 in Class AA Section 4).
PAST WEEK: Has scored 54 points in team's wins over South Allegheny and Riverview. Against the Gladiators, she scored 30 points. She followed that with 24 points, five rebounds and five assists on Tuesday in a 74-54 win over the Raiders.
SEASON: Stewart is averaging 22 points per game.
CAREER: She has 1,037 career points after passing the 1,000-point mark last week. A three-year starter, Stewart averaged 13.1 points per game as a freshman and 18.6 last year. She also has averaged 5.5 rebounds and five steals per game for her career.
A FAMILY AFFAIR: Stewart's two older sisters, Erica and Brooke, both played for East Allegheny. Brooke is a star at the University of Pittsburgh and is East Allegheny's all-time leading scorer with 3,055 points. Dana's younger sister, Jade, also is a basketball player. Dana's father, Walter, played at Braddock High School in the early 1970s and coaches her AAU team, the PA Hoop Stars.
"At first, I looked at my sister's legacy as pressure," said Stewart. "But she just told me to relax and be my own person and play my own game. But she is my role model in more ways than just basketball. We are different players, but there are also some similarities as well."
HAIL TO THE CHIEF: Most of Dana's time is occupied by basketball, but she also is an honor roll student and vice president of the student government. She enjoys being involved with the student government because it is a chance for her to get some hand's-on experience working with people and doing community work. "I want to be a guidance counselor when I get out of college," she said. "So this is a good way to get a little taste of working with different groups of people within the school. I'm not satisfied, though. Next year, I'm running for president."
OTHER SPORT: In the spring, Dana runs track. Her best event is the 400-meter run. "It is good training because it builds both endurance and speed for basketball," she said.
TAKING CHARGE: Even though she is only a junior, Stewart is taking a much more active role in being a team leader on and off the court. The Wildcats have made the playoffs the past two years, but have not advanced past the semifinals.
