Eric Kush of Chartiers Valley High School became the first player from the WPIAL to be selected in this year's NFL draft.
He was taken by the Kansas City Chiefs with the second pick of the sixth round, 170th overall.
Kush, who grew up in Bridgeville, played in Division II at California, Pa.
Kush, a 6-foot-4, 305-pound center, started three seasons for the Vulcans.
